We always love to see queens supporting fellow queens. Especially when they are two of the biggest stars on the planet. In case it wasn’t obvious, we’re talking about Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. In October, Queen B took a break from her record-breaking world tour to support Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour documentary premiere—walking the red carpet and posing for pictures with Swift, causing the internet to go into a frenzy.
Now, Taylor is returning the favor, paying a visit to Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour film premiere in London and walking the red carpet with a perfectly on-theme ensemble from her dress to her glam to her nails.
Though the entire outfit was exactly what we would imagine Renaissance (Taylor’s Version) to look like, we couldn’t help but zoom in on her disco ball nails—which might just be the boldest manicure she’s ever worn.
Her nails had a natural shape and short, finger-hugging length perfect for playing guitar. Each nail was coated in a shimmery silver polish. However, different from most classic chrome nails, Swift’s also seemed to have the addition of glitter, which added texture and a disco ball effect.
The nails matched her sequin Balmain dress perfectly. The body-con dress was studded from head to toe with shiny opulence. A slit up one of her legs added extra drama, and she accessories with dangling silver earrings and matching rings.
Her hair and makeup, though, is where she stayed truest to her stylistic self. Of course, her lips were her signature bright cherry red and added a beautiful pop of color to the look. She kept the silver shimmer going on her eyelids paired with dark fluttering eyelashes and a small cat eye. Finishing her makeup off with highlighter on her high points of her face and glowy skin.
Swift went with an Old Hollywood-inspired side part hairstyle. Different from her usual middle-parted bangs, she pushed her bangs to the right for a dramatic side-swoop. She tucked the other side of her hair behind her ear, and let the rest of her long blonde hair fall in waves down her chest.
Though recreating the entire outfit might not be the simplest, all you need to channel her disco ball nails is a glittery silver polish—and we have the step-by-step instructions to do it perfectly.
First, like any manicure, remove any lingering nail polish with nail polish remover. Afterward, cut and file your nails to the desired length before applying oil to soften and push back your cuticles. Once wiped clean of oil, buff the beds of your nails and add your favorite base coat.
After that, it’s time for color. Reach for a chromatic silver polish with visible chunks of glitter to get the closest finish to Swift—we like Ella + Mila’s On Thin Ice ($11) for this step—and paint two coats on each finger.
Once dry, seal it in with your favorite top coat and a dollop of nail oil for health. Then, you will be ready for the Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé red carpet.
