Very few people have the power to turn an album into a full-blown fashion aesthetic that is still shaping how we dress a year after its release. But Beyoncé isn’t just anybody. Since the release of her Renaissance album, the superstar has stayed serving sparkly couture while traveling the world on tour; getting even Taylor Swift to dress accordingly on her red carpets. So obviously, she wasn’t going to miss the mark for her latest appearance.
On November 30, Queen B jetted off to London for the UK premiere of her new documentary, Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé, walking the carpet wearing an ensemble fit for royalty—a long black jacket with a tiny embellished panty. But it’s her afterparty look that really caught our attention.
While wearing the most ornate, intricate Balmain minidress—which featured beams of diamonds and pearls shooting out from a giant sapphire blue gemstone framed by swirling metals in the middle of her chest—she showed off her brand new icy blonde hair and picture-perfect makeup.
Done by makeup artist Rokael Lizama, her skin was glowing perfection with a subtle sculpt. Beyoncé’s undereyes were brighter than than rest of her base, and added dimension to her contoured cheekbones and hairline. A light touch of blush matched the rosy hues on her lips.
For Beyoncè’s ’90s nude lips, Lizama used his new lip collection from Rokael Beauty. First, he lined her lips with two of his Redefined Lip Shaders ($19) in Alignment, a warm nude brown, and Silhouette, a toasted brown. Inside the dark liner was a blend of two shades of the Redefined Gold Velvet Lip Cremes ($26)—Destined a coral that took up most of her lip, and Alleluia, a pink nude in the center of her lips.
Beyoncé’s eye makeup only added to the glamorous drama. Lizama added black eyeliner to the top waterline before adding in some Rokael Beauty Lunar Lights individual lashes ($12). He finished off the look with a light touch of sparkle on her inner corner that was dusted even lighter on the bulk of her lids.
Her hair, done by Neal Farinah, was the finishing touch. Farinah pulled the singer’s hair back behind her head in a half-up pony. There was a touch of volume by her crown, and the rest of her hair hung down her back in long, loose waves. The pulled-back look allowed her huge dangling diamond earrings to peek through, perfectly complimenting her gorgeous outfit.
