We come to Nicole Kidman’s hair for magic. (Yes, that was a reference to her iconic AMC ad, prepare for more.) The actor knows how to serve a look with her locks, even when she goes to a movie theater. She’s tried out the controversial jellyfish haircut, she’s mastered the art of the celeb-loved undone blowout, and she has revisited her ’90s curls in full force. Now, she’s reviving her vintage coils in a new, romantic way.
On December 20, the icon walked the red carpet for a special screening of her newest TV show, Expats, in Sydney, Australia. While posing with her husband, Keith Urban, she showed off her gorgeous dress, flawless makeup, and a hairdo that left us not just entertained but reborn (yep, another one).

The hairdo in question was a quintessential ’90s updo that was full of curls, bounce, and shine. On the crown of her head sat a perfectly messy bun reminiscent of Pamela Anderson’s iconic look—it’s also incredibly similar to an updo Kidman wore while promoting Eyes Wide Shut in the ’90s. The bun pulled nearly all the strands of her hair into its voluminous shape, all of which were curled to perfection.

At the bottom of the bun, a handful of loose curls gracefully fell out, grazing her shoulders and the top of her back. Around her ears, similar curls framed her face. However, there was one curl that was the star of the show—dangling across her face, grazing her eyelashes, and touching her lips was a perfectly curled strand.

Nowadays, Kidman mostly styles her hair straight. But early in her career, her natural copper curls were her signature look, and it’s nice to see them out and about every now and again.
The rest of the look was gorgeous but kept the focus on her mane. Her skin was glowing and had a heavier flush of blush on her cheeks. Her eyes were lightly lined with dark eyeliner, made to look even darker with a touch of mascara. On her lids was the faintest smoky eye, and her pink lips finished off the look.
Then, her Greek goddess outfit was the final piece of the puzzle. An off-the-shoulder design, her body was wrapped in beige draping fabric that ruched at her side above an ultra-long slit. Out of the slit, peeped matching pointed-toe heels. All that was left was her accessories. She threw on a thick, structured gold cuff and matching earrings.
