If you’re anything like us, Dior already has a special place not just in your wardrobe, but your beauty routine as well. Its eyeshadows, which just won a Byrdie Beauty Award, are top-tier; its lip oil has gone viral time and time again; and its hand balm is the chicest thing you could pull out of your purse. So, of course, we were beyond intrigued to hear about the brand’s latest offering—an anti-aging treatment that packs a serious punch.
The just-launched Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot ($90) isn’t just your regular hydrating hyaluronic acid serum. Instead, it claims to have similar effects to traditional hyaluronic acid fillers—tightening, promoting elasticity, decreasing wrinkles, and providing lots of moisture.
The formula’s power comes from the inclusion of two different hyaluronic acids. According to the brand, the double acid complex is equivalent to three professional injections in terms of concentration—using one hyaluronic acid of high molecular weight and another of low molecular weight to penetrate every layer of the skin and promote regeneration at the smallest of levels. The higher weight molecules were developed in a cross-linked form, which means its lifespan is three times longer than conventional hyaluronic acid for optimal hydration.
The other key ingredient is multi-fermented longaza extract cultivated by Dior in its Garden of Madagascar. The ingredient, which is also in the brand’s popular Capture Total Serum ($150) enriches the product with 85 anti-aging molecules, which, the brand says, improves the “anchoring of stem cells” by 94%. It also helps prevent the loss of hyaluronic acid in the skin.
While no skincare product will give you the exact same results as fillers, the Hyalushot serum has a leg up on traditional injections, as it goes to work to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in just four hours. Plus, it helps extend the effects of regular injectables and Botox for less frequent office visits.
Modeled after a medical injection needle, the tip is said to be 200 times more precise than your finger. Meaning, it’s the perfect method to perfectly target the eight places wrinkles appear more frequently, depositing the formula directly into the deepest hollows of the skin.
For maximum effectiveness, the brand says to apply the product across your forehead lines, frown lines, crows feet, cheeks, the sides of your nose, smile lines, upper lip lines, and marionette lines to target all the most visible locations of wrinkles and reverse the signs of aging.
