Ever since Beyoncé dyed her hair an icy silver blonde, she hasn’t taken her foot off the “serve” pedal, giving us look after look. First, there was the silver Versace chainmail dress she wore to debut her new look, paired with opera gloves and a pin-straight blowout. Then, it was the most ornate, opulent Balmain minidress made of hundreds of gemstones. Her latest look? A masterclass in high-fashion casual dressing, paired with a gorgeous manicure.
On December 17, Queen B posted an Instagram carousel—with no caption, as always—showing off a night of fun with her husband, Jay Z, and the ensemble she partied the night away in.
The world is hyper-focused on her sequin Prada hot pants—which, might we add, is the glitziest take on underwear as outerwear we have ever seen—that she paired with a sheer tan turtleneck, matching fur coat, heels, and silver hoops. However, we just couldn’t take our eyes off her nail look.
In the same monochromatic hue as the rest of her ensemble, her nails were a creamy rose shade. With a similar glossy finish to lip gloss nails, each of her medium-length, almond-shaped nails matched with the same comforting hue. It sort of reminded us of Rare Beauty’s off-pink packaging; they were a deeper pink shade that was like if rosé somehow got turned into a latte. The nails paired perfectly with her entire outfit, also nearly exactly matching the matte lipstick on her lips.
Her hair finished off the look. A ’60s-inspired baby beehive, she had some subtle volume at the crown of her head, which framed the style. She left out two thick face-framing tendrils, and the hair not tucked into the bump was left grazing her chest on both sides.
Luckily for you, you don’t need bedazzled designer underwear to wear these nails to your next holiday party, as they’re super easy to copy at home.
First, remove any lingering polish that may be on your nails with nail polish remover. Then, cut and file your nails to the desired length before applying oil to your cuticles to soften and push them back. Wipe your nails clean and buff the surface for an even canvas before going in with your favorite base coat.
Next, it’s time for color. To match her creamy rose shade, we like Hermès’ Rose Baltique ($55) or OPI’s Dolce de Leche ($9). After applying two or three coats of the color, let it dry and apply your favorite top coat. After that, add a dollop of nail oil, and you will have a unique but stunning holiday nail look.
