2023 has been the year of the bang. This year has seen more celebrities that we can count try a fringe of some sort. Curtain bangs, curve bangs, Hepburn bangs, wispy bangs, and more have all been spotted on the likes of Kim Kardashian, Katie Holmes, Rihanna, and half the members of Blackpink so far this year. The latest to join the bang gang? Julia Roberts.
On November 29, Roberts attended a special screening of her new film Leave The World Behind in London, and walked the red carpet with brand-new French girl bangs and a picture-perfect outfit.

The actor’s hair was her usual golden brown with streaks of amber, and travelled down to her chest. For the event, it was styled in a middle part with loose waves, one of her go-to looks. However, there was the addition of her new bangs.
Different from her previous ’70s bangs, Roberts’ new fringe was somewhere between curtain bangs and Birkin bangs. The bangs skimmed her eyebrows in the center, before slowly beginning to taper into longer strands and had a wispy feel that made them look totally effortless. They’re different from short Hepburn bangs, long curve bangs, and other trending cuts because they start ultra-short in the middle and then taper out to the cheekbones.

The rest of Roberts’ look was just as good as the new hair. She wore a simple yet elegant makeup look to keep the focus on the hair and outfit. Her skin was dewy with a touch of blush that matched her glossy pink lips perfectly. Her eyes had a touch of dark liner on both the waterlines and a coat of mascara.
The actor’s Gucci outfit really upped the glamour. She wore an oversized baby pink blazer over a matching mini skirt. Her neck was blinged out with a huge diamond choker that featured multiple rows of gemstones. We didn’t think it was possible, but her shoes outshined her necklaces with dozens of dangling diamonds hanging off the clear silhouette. She finished off her look with a few matching rings and silver sparkly nails.
