If beauty trends had a Spotify Wrapped, food-inspired looks would occupy everyone’s top five. Strawberry makeup, cinnamon cookie butter hair, blueberry milk nails—the tasty trends just kept coming this year. From Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, and Jennifer Lopez to Amal Clooney, you name a celeb, and they probably sported a sweet beauty look sometime this year. The last of which just made a last-minute Wrapped entry named after our favorite coffee order.
On November 28, Clooney’s go-to hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, posted a photo of the fresh color he did on the star—he called the look “caramel macchiato,” and we couldn’t think of a more fitting description.
Clooney’s hair was the same length and voluminous style we’re used to seeing on the star. Her thick, wavy, luxurious mane traveled down right below her chest, showing off her new rich color.
The base of her hair was a classic dark brunette, a dark roast brown if you would. However, sprinkled and layered throughout was a lighter latte color that added dimension and shine to her hair. Then, less pronounced, were golden brown highlights that flowed seamlessly with the rest of her hair and added a little caramel to her macchiato moment. The whole look was styled to perfection in a loose middle part with flowing loose curls from root to end.
This is the second time Giannetos has given Clooney a treat-inspired hair color. This summer, he gave her “English toffee” highlights. While the base was a similar rich brown, the highlights themselves were much brighter and blonder than the macchiato moment, perfect the warmer weather.
Clooney paired her new hair with a bright pink outfit that would make Barbie jealous. A two-piece set, the top was a short sleeve, slightly cropped hot pink shirt with horizontal ruffles and stripes. Her skirt was the same exact texture and color.
Her makeup, also done by Giannetos usisng all Charlotte Tilbury products, tied it all together. Her skin was luminous, and Giannetos added a heavy flush of pink blush to her cheeks and a slight contour to complete her complexion.
Clooney’s eyes had a glowing, bright white inner corner that contrasted her dark eyeliner and black mascara. The bulk of her lids were a deep nude color that continued to her outer corner, forming the faintest, tiniest wing. Matching with her bright pink blush were pink lips with a slight ombré effect.
