Megan Fox’s Studded “Devil Red” Manicure Is So On-Brand

Another day, another envy-worthy manicure from Megan Fox. The actress has become the manicure muse for any nail look that is experimental, playful, and a tad edgy. Mini tattoo nails, cotton candy aura nails, multi-colored 3D chrome, and a solid gold manicure are just a few of our favorites she’s worn—but we will 100% be adding her latest to the list.

On November 16, Fox walked the red carpet for GQ’s Men of the Year party alongside stars like Kim Kardashian and Megan Thee Stallion wearing a white Mugler dress, her newly introduced red velvet bob, and a French tip nail look that matched her hair with a silvery-accented twist.

Of course, her entire look was repeat-worthy, but the nails will most certainly be on our holiday manicure Pinterest board. The mani was the work of Fox’s go-to manicurist, Brittney Boyce, who said she wanted to create “an elevated version of the classic French with an edgy twist” in order to “counter Megan’s structured, cream dress.”

The twist came in the form of silver pearls studded across the cherry red tip that Boyce said “added dimension and took the French to the next level.” If you look closely, you can see that Fox’s nails had a classic, clear bed that, at the tips, sharply switched to a sweet cherry red. On top of the coffin-shaped, medium-length tips were evenly placed 3D silver pearls in lines across the whole tip.

Luckily for us, Boyce shared the full product breakdown if you want to recreate the look yourself.

The first step for the manicures was applying a layer of CND Plexigel Bonder, a salon-only product, and curing in an LED Lamp. After that, she built the nail shape Using CND Plexigel Builder ($27). Then, she cured the coffin shape and filed it for the perfect length and shape.

If you plan on using your natural nails, you can skip those first two steps and just apply your favorite base coat after cutting and filing into your desired shape.

Then, Boyce got to work creating the glossy nail beds. She applied two layers of CND Shellac in Uncovered ($15) and cured. With the base done, she outlined and filled in the tips with CND Shellac in Devil Red ($15).

She added a coat of CND Shellac No-Wipe+ Top Coat ($25) before curing again and preparing the silver pearls. She secured the studs to the French tips with the Plexigel Builder gel, though, at home, you can just use regular nail glue. Her final step was a dab of  CND SolarOil ($10), and then Fox was ready to walk the red carpet.
