Decades into her career, Salma Hayek is still one of our most enduring beauty and style icons. Ever since the ’90s, people have been looking to the star for bombshell-worthy outfit and beauty ideas, both on-screen and off. Her latest appearance is no different, leaving us wanting to copy her exact red lipstick—luckily, we were able to track it down.
Over the weekend, celebrity makeup artist and cosmetics mogul Patrick Ta posted a picture of the glam he did on Hayek to attend an intimate event thrown by Jessica Alba celebrating Latine and Hispanic culture makers and community.
Of course, Hayek had to dress to the nines for such a special occasion, and Ta painted her perfectly with his products.

The actress’s base was flawless; Ta used his Major Skin Foundation ($52) to achieve a complexion that was simultaneously dewy and matte. To add warmth and color to her skin, Ta went in with his blush in She’s Flushed—a light rosy red that complimented Hyeck’s lipstick perfectly. The lipstick in question? That would be Patrick Ta’s Matte Suede Lipstick in That’s Why She’s Late ($32), a bold blue-red, which contrasted her outfit beautifully and made for a dramatic makeup look.
The red shade instantly brought us back to her iconic role as Frida Kahlo in Frida, where, along with the artist’s signature updo and unibrow, she regularly wore bright red lipstick. But the shade is not just a favorite of Khalo’s, as Hayek regularly is spotted in a bold lip on and off the carpet as well.

Her glam was finished off with brushed-up brows, long, fluttering eyelashes, and a touch of brown eyeshadow for extra drama. Her dark hair framed the makeup like a work of art. Left down in a middle part, it reached down to her chest and was full of loose, shiny waves.
Hayek’s outfit was also to die for. Wearing a baby blue suit, she layered a tight-fitting satin vest over a two-toned white striped dress shirt. On top of both of peices, she wore a matching baby blue satin blazer that flowed into the same color suit pants that slightly covered her platformed silver heels. She finished off the look with some silver rings and earrings.
