It’s a well-established fact that Hailey Bieber owns food-related beauty trends. On top of naming her Rhode products things like “espresso,” “raspberry jelly”, and “milk”, she regularly wears makeup and nail looks inspired by her favorite treats. Glazed donut nails, latte makeup, Fruity Pebbles nails, and cinnamon cookie butter hair are just some of these looks, as well as her infamous strawberry makeup, which she just gave a fall makeover.
On November 12, Bieber’s makeup artist, Mary Phillips, posted some up-close selfies of the glam she painted on the star for the Baby2Baby gala—an event honoring the organization that provides children in need with resources like diapers and clothes. It was in this photo dump that we got a peak of the darker, more sultry version of strawberry glam.
Like the bright summertime version that originally went viral, the makeup look relies on a lot of reddish hues. However, unlike the summertime version, this rendition was more of a rich, chocolate-covered vibe than just a plain, freshly-picked berry.
Most reminiscent of the first iteration was the heavy application of blush. Bieber wore a bright red blush across her cheekbone and her nose, and up to her temples. Not only did it add warmth and sweetness to her face, but it also mixed with highlighter to give her skin even more of a glow. Continuing the strawberry effect was a smattering of faux freckles like her summertime look, just paired back—like freckles naturally do in the winter.
The rest of the glam was just as good. Her lips had subtle ombré effect—the center of the lip look was a brighter pink focused on her lower lip. Then, it faded into a strawberry jam-like deep red shade around the edges. Of course, it was finished off with a high-gloss finish.
The last addition to the look, besides her dewy Rhode skin, was the eyes. Not as simple as the original strawberry moment, this one had a bit more edge with a faint, skinny cat eye that started at her inner corner and continued out into a short wing. Then, to complete the dark eye moment, there were a few coats of mascara, which added some mystique.
For the gala, she wore a timeless strapless black dress with side-baring cutouts. Adding some gold cuffs, matching rings, and opulent gold statement studs for accessories. She finished off her look with her dark blonde hair in a side part, simple nearly-nude nails, and posed alongside Sofia Richie Grainge, Kim Kardashian, and Lori Harvey.
